In association with Marcus and the brilliant team at NOHA Agency we were given the opportunity to print and install a rather unique design in a Castrol Formula 1 trackside oil analysis lab.
The Noha team created a design based on a chemical formula kind of style, though don’t try working it out, which we printed and cut to shape, over 8 meters of it. The design was to consistently flow around the room, and it was all designed and produced remotely from photos and measurements supplied, due to the vehicle being abroad at the time.
Producing the graphics and raising to the installation challenge we ventured to the secret location to install. Firstly applying the bright white vinyl on the outer side of the Star Trek style door (without the swoosh swoosh) with glass etch. We then ventured inside and began to apply the printed vinyl, meticulously planning where to cut and join the intricate design, as being at eye line height any mistakes would be noticeable.
We had to think on our feet too as the design needed to be moved up and down to avoid certain unexpected obstacles, ensuring that the design flowed seamlessly around the lab.
We quickly took some snaps before the vehicle was packed and sent around the world to race events.
